Congratulations to the girls' golf team on winning the district championship! Sara Mader shot 94 and Becca Engle shot 95 to help the Rams secure a 10 shot victory over Ephrata and Hershey. The team will now represent district 3 in the regional championship on October 19.

The CD Boys Golf Team battled the elements yesterday at the 6700 yard Links of Gettysburg. In a steady rain, 50 degrees and 10-15 mph winds, Alex Raptopolus, Mike Gress, Austin Mertz, Karl Straw, Justin Nye, Ken Johnston and Kyle Walsh represented CD in the Mid Penn Conference Team and Individual Tournament. After 6 1/2 hrs of play in the rain, Alex Raptapolus, Mike Gress and Austin Mertz prevailed to play again Friday at the District 3 Tournament. The Team finished 6th in the team event 10 strokes behind the winning team.

Today is a historic day for the Central Dauphin Girls Golf Team.  The girls will be playing in the Girls District 3 Team Golf Tournament at TPC Briarwood in York.  This is the first year of existence for the girls team and they produced a District Qualifier.  The girls playing today are Senior Becca Engle, Junior Sara Mater, Sophomores Victoria Robinson and Hannah Donnelly and Freshman Nora Mater.  Good Luck.

Congratulations to the CD Girls Golf Team on winning the first Mid Penn Girls Team Championship in CD history! On Saturday the team of Sara Mater, Nora Mater, Becca Engle, Victoria Robinson, and Hannah Donnelly out dueled Hershey, Cumberland Valley, and Mechanicsburg to win by a commanding 20 shots. In the individual competition, Sara placed 3rd and Becca placed 8th overall. The girls' next match is Tuesday when they'll face off against the Mountaineers from Ephrata for the district championship.

The Commonwealth Division Golf Season is over. We finished 2nd in the Division behind Palmyra and ahead of Hershey and the rest of the pack. The good news is that we are young, the bad news is Palmyra is also young. We finished with a record of 30-12.

The post season individual and team season begins tomorrow with our first ever girls team going to Armitage to play in the Girls Mid Penn Team and Individual Championships. Becka Engle, Sara Mater, Victoria Robinson, Nora Mater and Hannah Donnelly will be playing individually and as a team in this event. Please take a minute to wish them luck with their match and the weather as well as awarding them with the assignments that they will miss Thursday.

The boys enter the post season with 7 golfers going to The Links of Gettysburg on Monday for the Boys Mid Penn Individual and Team Championships. Alex Raptapolis, Mike Gress, Austin Mertz, Justin Nye, Karl Straw, Ken Johnston and Kyle Walsh will be playing with the top 100 players of the Mid Penn. Please take a minute to wish them luck with their match as well as awarding them with the assignments that they will miss Monday October 4th.

CD Boys golf team shot a team score of 395 which is a 79 average to finish 3rd at Colonial Country Club. Palmyra Shot 392 and Hershey shot 395. We lost to Hershey on a tie breaker. Alex Raptapolis shot 75, Mike Gress, Austin Mertz and Karl Straw all shot 79 an Justin Nye shot an 83. Great scores. Monday at Sportsman, Justin Nye shot a 77 and Alex Raptapolis shot 78 to lead CD to a second place Finish.

Congratulations go out to Nora Mater for winning the girls' golf match at Mechanicsburg yesterday. Nora shot a 92 to secure her one stroke victory. This is Nora's second individual win of the season.

Welcome back. Here is your first CD Golf update.

We have a girls team this year. Returning players Becka Engle (12) and Sara Mater (11) are joined by sophomores Victoria Robinson and Hannah Donnelly and freshman Nora Mater. They participated in the Bolton Tournament at State College and finished 2nd as a team at the event. Four of the five girls are breaking 100 with the 5th one close. With Vogles awesome work, they will be 80's shooter and go to the State Team Tournament.

The boys team participants are

Seniors: Karl Straw and Justin Nye,
Juniors: Alex Raptapolis, Brandon Deloia, Austin Pfeiffer,
Sophomores: Mike Gress, Austin Mertz, Ken Johnston, Chuck Johnston, Chris Vene
Freshman: Kyle Walsh. Colin Roschella

8-23-2010 Gress, Mertz, Ken J, Straw and Raptapolis at YTI Invitational at Heritage Hills finished 4th in the Big School Division (behind Hempfield, Palmyra and North Carrol -MD)

8-24-2010 Home Match at Blue Ridge CC Raptapolis (74) anf Ken Johnston (77) had a career lows to match up with Gress 78, Mertz 80 and Straw 83 to edge Palmyra by 7 and 5 other teams (Hershey,East, LD, Mid, Susq).
