Congratulations for an outstanding and record breaking season for our divers. For the first time in CD history, both boys and girls received a medal at States this week. Matt Mullen came in 6th place while Rachel McCormick finished in 4th..Both divers will be competing at the college level. Nice job divers.

Congratulations to our boys and girls swim team for their top ten finishes at districts this past week. A special congrats to the relay swimmers who broke a Jeremy Linns school record which has stood for 22 years. Mike Senyak, Chris Tkatcch, Zack Ruth, and Josh Yohe shattered the mark by almost 2 seconds. Zach Ruth had also taken home a 5th place in his individual event and Ricky Averill took part in the Medley relay. Nice job swimmers!

Congratulations to our divers for an outstanding weekend at districts. Matt Mullen secured the Silver and will be ranked in the top 10 going into States But the topper went to our Senior Rachel McCormick who brought home the gold. Rachel won by over 15 points and will be ranked within the top 5 going to states.

Congratulations to Rachel McCormick of CD High School for winning the District 3-AAA Girls Diving Title with a score of 408.15. Rachel had previously won the Mid Penn Diving Title.

Congratulations to Rachel McCormick for finishing First place at last nights Mid Penn Championships for Diving. Rachel also broke the team record and was only 10points away from breaking the Mid Penn record. Great Job Rachel.

Congrats to the following swimmers for qualifying for this years Mid Penn meet. Only the top 24 swimmers from both Double A and triple A combined qualify. Seniors: Rachel Frank, Mike Senyak, Marrissa Schaffer, Keri Tkatch, Chris Tkatch, Sam White, Alex Enterline, Casey Stump, and Ali Miller. Juniors: Zac Ruth, Tiras Kelley, Owen Davis, and Carson Kahoe. Sophmores: Rick Averill, Nick Bloom, Marco Mellnger, Josh Yohe, Ashley Leisher, and Andrew Gherardini.

Great job to our men’s and women’s swim team for their double win against Lower Dauphin last night. The boys now stand at 2-0 on the season and the girls 1-1...a double victory posted by Ashley Leisher led the rest of the rams to rack up wins by Zach Ruth, Mike Senyak, Nick Bloom, Ally Miller and Tiras Kelley. Honorable Mention to Lauren Rittle and Zack Key.

Congratulations to the boys swim team for their convincing victory over Carlisle last night. Led by Captain Mike Senyak, the boys went on to win 10 out of the 11 events. Wins were turned in by Owen Davis, Ricky Averill, Nick Bloom, Marco Mellinger, Josh Yohe, and Zach Ruth. Rachel Frank and Keri Katch both posted double wins in a close meet. The team will be at Lower Dauphin tonight at 7.

The CD swim team competed this past weekend at the Dover Invitational. Fifteen teams competed in the invitational. The boy’s team placed first, and the girl’s team placed fifth. Overall, the combined scores of the boys and girls also took first place. Earning first place finishes for the boys were Michael Senyak in the 100 free, Ricky Averill in the 100 breaststroke, and the 200 medley relay of Michael Senyak, Tiras Kelly, Zach Ruth, and Chris Tkatch. Scoring a first place finish for the girls was Ashley Leisher in the 100 breaststroke. Way to go CD! The team will compete against Carlisle today at Dickinson College at 4:00 and Lower Dauphin on Thursday at the Milton Hershey Aquatic facility at 7:00.
